The Board meeting began with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance by Caleb Juarez, a student at Lathrop Intermediate School.

The Board recognized Adriana Tucker for Certificated Employee of the Month and Karen Rodriguez for Classified Employee of the Month for November. Later in the Board meeting after Orin Williams, Assistant Superintendent of Facilities and Governmental Relations, provided an overview of the accomplishments that were completed under the $200 million Measure G local bond, the Board recognized members of the Bond Oversight Committee, who were dedicated to serving on the committee to ensure that the district fulfilled its commitment to the community.

Dr. Stefanie Phillips, Deputy Superintendent of Business Operations, presented a public disclosure of Tentative Agreement with Santa Ana Educators’ Association. The Board document with specific details of the agreement is attached.

The Board also received a presentation on Smarter School Spending. The California Smarter School Spending process is designed to support California school district leaders in aligning their LCAP goals with their budget development process. The Board approved this partnership at the September 8, 2015, Board meeting.
